Rose M. Chavez, 82, went home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2002. She was born on October 1, 1919 in Vaughn, NM. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Rose is survived by her brother Frank Madrid; sister, Irene Lovato; nephews and nieces, James Madrid and wife, Rita, Pat Pertner and husband, Jerry, Jessica Torres and husband, Ely, Jude Lovato; and several grand-nephews and nieces. She will be deeply missed by her loving family. A Rosary will be recited on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. also at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Pertner, Jacob Pertner, Nick Pertner, Jude Lovato, Ralph Gutierrez and Jesse Vigil. Honorary pallbearers will be Angelica Pertner, ashley Pertner, Adrainna Pertner, Samantha Torres and Ely Torres. Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222.
