Obituary for Rubi

Mr. Floyd Rubi, 55, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away on June 28, 2002. Mr. Rubi is survived by his beloved wife, Anita; his children, Matthew Rubi, Andrea Rubi and fiance, Max Gonzales Jr., David Rubi and Stephanie Rubi; his stepchildren, Michelle Leal and husband, Scott, Jeff Bustos and wife, Jordan, Cynthia Bustos and Nick Bustos; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Isaac and Jacob; four sisters, Marcella Rubi, Mary Rubi, Sandra Rubi-Padilla and husband, Alonzo, Susan Rubi-Eidschun and husband, Keith; six brothers, Isidro Rubi Sr. and wife, Janice, Blas Rubi , James Rubi and wife, Debbie, Ernest Rubi and wife, Margie, Michael Rubi and Jodi Martinez, Greg Rubi and wife, Kristina; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mr. Rubi was preceded in death by his son, James Rubi, his father, Isidro Rubi Sr, his mother, Dorothy Mae Rubi and his brother George Rubi. Mr. Rubi was a member of the Catholic Church, was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and as a Sergeant served proudly during the Vietnam Era and was a recipient of the Bronze Star with the"V" device for heroism. He attended the University of NM School of Architecture and received his Bachelor of Arts in 1972. Since 1987, Mr. Rubi has served as President of R & H Associates Inc., an Environmental Consulting Firm. He was also an avid fan of Golf. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the St. Joseph On the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Pl., NW with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. in the Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Frank Prieto. Interment will follow in the Pajarito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Isidro Rubi Jr., Blas Rubi, Greg Rubi, Michael Rubi, Ernest Rubi and James Rubi. Honorary Pallbearers will be Keith Eidschun and Alonzo Padilla. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW in Charge of arrangements. 243-7861
