Obituary for Davis

Nancy Davis, age 47, died Friday, May 3, 2002 in Montrose, CO after a courageous four year battle with cancer. Nancy had lived with her family in Montrose since 1988. Nancy was born on May 29, 1954 in Albuquerque. Her parents were Ange and Katherine Tertipes. She spent her childhood in Albuquerque where she graduated from Sandia High School. She attended the University of New Mexico, where she received a BA in Architecture in 1978. She worked for W.C. Kruger & Associates and at the Veterans Administration Hospital. She became an accomplished interior designer. Her work can be seen in the interiors of the VA Hospital and the Chapel of St. Joseph's Hospital. In December of 1985, she married Ken Davis in Albuquerque. Nancy, husband, Ken and their one-year-old son, Cody moved to Montrose in 1988. A second son, Evan, was born in 1994. Nancy was a homemaker, teacher, and businesswoman and was an active member of Montrose's Christian community. Survivors include her parents, Ange and Katherine Tertipes of Montrose, CO; her sister, Jane Bennett of Ridgway, CO; her husband, Ken; and sons, Cody and Evan. A celebration of Nancy's life took place on May 8, 2002 at Montrose Christian Church.
