Obituary for Gabriele

Victor W. ¯Squeaky¯ Gabriele, 76, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, June 30, 2002. He is survived by his sons, Vic Gabriele and wife Clara, Fred Gabriele and James P. Gabriele and wife Valerie; daughters, Pamela ¯Bunny¯ Gabriele, all of Albuquerque and Jody Evans and husband, Lee of Katy, Texas; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Ellen Wolfe of Long Beach, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy M. Gabriele; sister, Betty Toledo; and grandson, Sean Gabriele. Victor was employed by the U.S. Postal Service since 1954. He was an Army Veteran and served as an interpreter during WWII. Victor was also a member of the Elks, The DAV, American Legion Post 13 and numerous other veteran groups. He was a lifetime member of Faith Chapel and a Southwestern Fine Arts Collector and Appraiser. Services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Mabel Dawe and Rev. Tom Salmon officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Richard Toledo, Chris Gabriele, Cory Gabriele, Jon Gabriele, Joshua Hensley and Ryan Hill. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ted Lujan, Roy Webb, Ralph Selva, Lawrence Selva, Jerry French, Matthew Hill, Victor A. Gabriele, Jennison Gabriele, Eric Toledo, Paul Candelaria and Sterling Mahan.
