Obituary for Bacon

Fred J. Bacon, 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1971, died Thursday, July 4, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rosemary Bacon of Albuquerque; daughter, Sandra L. Baker and husband, George of Norfolk, VA; son, Terry R. Bacon and wife, Trish of New York City, NY; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; and sister, Leotta J. Freshour of Union, OH. He was preceded in death by one grandson; and one sister. He was a pilot since the age of 15 and served as a Naval Pilot during WWII. In later years, Fred helped his wife with managing The Other Mother Child Care Service. Services will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, one-hour prior to service. Cremation will take place after the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association of NM, 525 San Pedro NE #101, 87108, American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas NE, 87110, or to a Hospice Center of your choice.
