Obituary for Walker

Major Raymond D. Walker, USAF Retired, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died Friday, July 12, 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou, whom he married on May 5, 1946 at Keesler AFB in Mississippi; and his sister, Joann Darr. He is survived by his son, Raymond David Walker and wife, Nancy of Ft. Collins, CO; daughter, Sharon Walker of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jaime and Joshua Walker and Lee, Brad and Lindsey Felicetti; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Dony; brother, James E. Walker and wife, Sarah Eddington of Albuquerque; sisters, Mary Carpenter of Houston, TX and Dorothy Stone and husband, Wilburn of Pasadena, TX; brother-in-law, Dan Darr of Pasadena, TX; and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Walker was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Following his retirement from the military, he worked with the Civil Service for 17 years as Deputy Director of Procurement. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Monday, July 16, 2002, at 3:00 p.m., at St. John92s United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE, with Rev. Charles E. Price officiating.
