Obituary for Lucero

Kenneth A. Lucero, age 33, passed way on July 19, 2002. He was born August 17, 1968 in Albuquerque, NM. After graduating form the University of New Mexico in 1991, he moved to Dallas, Texas and began a career in Marketing. After spending ten years in Dallas he relocated to Albuquerque in 2001. His father, Waldo Lucero Jr., older sister Vicki and baby sister Julie, preceded Ken in death. Ken is survived by his wife, Cindy; his mother, Sue Lucero; brother Richard Lucero and wife Nina; sister, Lisa Saye and husband Don; nephews Mike and Greg Lucero; niece Amanda Saye; Grandparents Ivory Mulkey and Terri and Waldo Lucero Sr.; aunts and uncles Wilfred and Linda Madrid, Joe & Angie Taylor, Richard & Vi Flores, L.T. & Shirley Perpall, many cousins and friends. Ken's great love of life included entertaining all of us that knew him with imitations and a great sense of humor. He enjoyed music, signing and play guitar. He was sincere, loving and caring toward his friends and family. He had a great love for humanity. His laughter will never be forgotten. He will always be loved and deeply missed by all that knew him. Pallbearers will be Richard Lucero, Bruce Madrid, Richard Flores, Richard Gomulka, Charley Hill and Chris Jordon. Honorary Pallbearers are Wilfred Madrid, Joe Taylor, Greg Lucero and Mike Lucero. Viewing and visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, July 21, 2002 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 22, 2002 at 10:00am at the Queen of Heaven Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE, with interment following at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to UNM Hospital, UNM Development Office, 2 Woodward Center, 700 Lomas NE, Albuquerque, NM 87131. Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, in charge of arrangements.
