Obituary for Zapach

Michael Zapach Jr., 71, a resident of Albuquerque for 17 years, died Monday, July 22, 2002.¯He is survived by his wife, Barbara Zapach of Albuquerque; son, Steven Zapach; daughter, Angela Pelton and husband, Keith, all of Amarillo, TX; sons, Mark Zapach and fiancé, Jennifer Kyle and Michael Zapach, all of Albuquerque; grandsons, Steven Zapach Jr, Kristiaan Pelton, Kody Pelton and Kolin Pelton, all of Amarillo, TX; sisters, Helen Plesnearski of Hot Springs, AR, Florence Micona of Chicago, IL and Elizabeth Cowley of Indianapolis, IN; and brother, Richard Zapach of Baytown, TX.¯ He was preceded in death by his mother and father.¯ Mr. Zapach worked for Sandia National Laboratories for 32 years.¯He also worked as a tax preparer for members of A.A.R.P.¯Mr. Zapach was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Church of the Risen Savior, as well as the Senior Connection.¯ Rosary will be recited Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.¯ Mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 25, 2002, at 9:00 a.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE.¯Interment will take place at 12:00 noon, at Santa Fe National Cemetery.¯ Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Wednesday, July 24, 2002, from 4:00 p.m. until time of rosary.
