James R. Hood, age 50, was born February 24, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio and died July 18,2002 in Denver, CO. He served in the Army from 1969 through 1975. He was highly decorated with the Bronze Star and other medals. Mr. Hood was preceded in death by; his father, Raymond W. Hood; maternal grandparents; and two uncles. James is survived by; his wife, margaret of La Junta, CO; daughter, Karen of LaJunta, CO; four step-children, Crystal, Omar, Jedd and Bubba of LaJunta; mother, Sarah Rautio and husband, Leonard of Socorro, NM; three sisters, mary Ryan of Denver, Susan hood of Albuquerque, and Barbara Fox and husband, Ray of Arlington, TX; one brother, George Hood and wife, Smantha of Bosque Farms, NM. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Private memorial services will be at a later date.
