Benny Montoya, 78, went home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2002. He was born on March 19, 1924 in Cuba, NM. Benny is preceded in death by Rosella Montoya and is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lucy Montoya; son, Mike Montoya and wife, Nancy of Lahaina, HI; daughter, Katherine Viola Gonzalez and husband, Alfredo; grandchildren, Michael Jeffrey Montoya and Alexis Gonzalez. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning also at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222.
