Obituary for Carillo

Sarah S. Carrillo, 70, a lifelong resident of Veguita, has been called by the Lord on July 22, 2002. She was born to loving parents, Cristobal and Demetria Chavez on January 25, 1932. She was a member of the San Juan Catholic Church in Veguita. Sarah was a very compassionate person; she loved working in her garden and with her flowers and farm animals. She touched the lives of so many (near & far) with her hospitality and home cooking. She had a heart of gold. Preceding her in death were her parents, Cristobal and Demetria Chavez; three sisters, Eunice Chavez, Virginia Presiani, Isabel Melbihess and Della Miranda; and her brother, Estaban Manuel Chavez. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Reynaldo Carrillo; her children, JoAnn Jaramillo and husband, Alex; Liz Jaramillo and husband, Alonzo; Frances Conroy and husband, Del; Beverly Campbell and husband, Bobby; Ralph Carrillo; David Carrillo and wife, Cathy; Allen Carrillo and fiancée, Geraldine; her brother, Luis Chavez; her sisters, Racheal Ferguson and husband, Ronnie; Verna Morgan and husband, Manuel; Eulalia Gonzales and husband, Jose; Gloria Mejia and husband, Charlie; her sister-in-law, Liz Chavez; 17 grandchildren, John, Ronnie, Raymond, Melvin and Yvonne Jaramillo, Donna Lafave, Denise Fox, David and Carlos Conroy, Jesse, Reynaldo B., and Linda Carrillo, Robert Jr. and Tyler Campbell, Marcus Carrillo, Mathew and Melissa Gurule; nine great-grandchildren, Crystal, Anthony, Joseph, Michael and Sarah Jaramillo, Brett Gallegos, Alexis and Christopher Lafave and Madison Fox. She is also survived by many loving uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church at 5:30 p.m. with a rosary following at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 25, 2002 at the San Juan Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Veguita Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie, Melvin, Allen, Jesse, Reynaldo B., David, Carlos, and Robert Jr. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N Main St., Belen, NM.
