Louisa Bachicha Gilb Vargas died at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carlota Bachicha. She is survived by her devoted husband, Petronilo Wake Vargas, Sr.; two sons, William"Billy" Gilbert, and Isaac Vargas; five daughters, Gloria Vargas and husband Pepe, Jr., Della Jaramillo and husband, Michael, Charlene Sepulvida and husband, John, Jeanette Gilbert and Christina Gonzales and husband, Gilbert, all of Albuquerque; one brother, Joe Bachicha; two sisters, Nina Gomez and Margaret Vargas; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Our beloved mother, grandmother and wife went to Jesus while at home with all her family and friends caring for her during this special time. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Funeral Services for Mrs. Vargas will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2002. Final viewing will be held on Wednesday morning at Salazar & Sons Mortuary at 7:45 a.m. with the procession leaving at 9:00 a.m. and Mass will be celebrated at the San Juan Neponuceno Catholic Church in Chililli, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Chililli Cemetery. Visitations will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the mortuary chapel. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
