Obituary for Young

Garth W. Young, 77, born January 26, 1925 passed away on August 26, 2002. He was born in Gerber, CA and grew up in Spokane, WA. During World War II he was a member of the 10th Mountain Division in Camp Hale, CO and served as a medic in Italy. He settled his family in Santa Fe, NM where he had a distinguished career at the State Highway Department. He retired in 1979 from the Highway Department as Right of Way Manager and started a second career in Albuquerque, NM as an appraiser. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Mary Young; and his four children, Steve, Terrie, Shelly and Kelly. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Oliver, Jennifer, Dawn and Kyle. He also leaves behind his much loved dogs and cats. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
