Obituary for Cook

Etta Cook, 92 years old this past July, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2002. She moved to Belen over 65 years ago. Preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Henry Clay Cook in 1983. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Smith and her husband, Phillip of Albuquerque, NM; and her four sons, Henry and his wife, Doris of California; David and his wife, Linda of Belen; Larry and his wife, Judy of Texas; and Richard of Colorado; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Doyle Reed of Belen. Etta is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Romero Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bruce Smith, Larry Garcia, Chris Cook, Nathan Cook , and Jason Cook, Randy Hill, and Chris Padilla. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen, NM 87002.
