Gillie Romero age 58, passed away August 28, 2002 along with his wife, as the result of a tragic car accident. Gillie was born and raised in Albuquerque and lived in Indiana and Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Feliberto Romero, his mother, Marianna, and his brother, Victor Romero. Gillie is survived by his son, Ralph Romero Sr. and wife, Lorraine of Elkhart, Indiana; daughter, Michelle Springer and husband, Corbett of Marlon, Texas; two sisters, Josie Baldonado and husband, Reynaldo of Albuquerque, and Vangie Hurst of California; two brothers, Chris Romero and wife, Cora of Albuquerque, Robert Romero and wife, Fedelma of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, Adrianna, Alexandra, Ralph Jr., Andrew, Nathan, and Harley; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends who lived and will miss him. Viewing and services will be held at St. Annes Catholic Church. Viewing will be at held at St. Anne Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 3, 2002 beginning at 2:00 p.m., with the rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 4, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., with burial following at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eugene Chavez, Chris Romero Jr., Bobby Felix, Joe Baldonado, Cecil Sanchez and Dominic Cuaron. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Romero Jr., David Sanchez and Joe Archuleta.
