Obituary for Pettefer

Edgar D. Pettefer, 85, a veteran of WWII and longtime resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Thursday, August 29, 2002. He is survived by his son, Randall E. Pettefer and several loving friends. Edgar was preceded in death by his wife, Mary H. Pettefer, just two months ago. He had been a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Albuquerque since the 1950s and enjoyed serving as a Scoutmaster there. He led the Boy Scout Troop into the Gila wilderness in 1958. When he could, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Services will be held Tuesday September 3, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming NE, with Rev. Clyde Stanfield officiating. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Monday, September 2, 2002 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
