Maria Bernila Manchego, born October 10, 1936 in Cosilla, New Mexico died on August 28, 2002 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Manchego and sons, Raphael and Theodore Manchego; daughters, Melissa Manchego Sanchez and Marcela Matta; six grandchildren, Ryan, Miranda and Christian Mattta, Gabriel Sanchez, and Jackson and Roman Manchego. Private memorial and burial services were held. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Cancer Society or to the Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice.
