Vince"Froggy" Lucero, 32, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 13, 2002.¯Vince was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, and was retired from the City of Albuquerque Liquid Waste Department. He loved his family, 69 Camaro, the Dallas Cowboys, and was known for never saying no. Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Virginia Lucero. Vince is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Nicole; son, Matthew; father-in-law, Charlie Gurule; mother-in-law, Virginia Francia; brother, Danny Lucero; sisters, Esther Garcia, Sybil Chavez and husband, Leroy, and Marie Gutierrez and husband, Offie; niece, Shirley Lucero; five nephews; Godson, Marc Lucero; uncles, aunts, numerous other family and friends that loved and will miss him.¯Services will be held at Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, located at 4th Street and Alameda NW. A Rosary will be recited Monday, September 16, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. A mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at 9:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Felipe Gutierrez, Jerry Marrufo, Chad Padilla, Leroy Jr. Chavez, Marty Chavez, and Willie Griego.¯Honorary pallbearers will be Simon Chavez, Abe Lopez, Anthony Francia, and Anthony Green.¯Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th NW Albuquerque, 343-8808.
