Eleanor Ruth Salvo, 71, of Santa Fe, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 17, 2002. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Anyone who knew Eleanor would be able to describe her as a"beautiful" person in every sense of the word. She always had a positive attitude no matter what she was experiencing in her lifetime. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who gave much inspiration and knowledge about life to all of her family and friends. Born in 1931, in Wyandotte, MI educated in Jal, NM and Highlands University, she married in 1952 to husband, Sam and had children, Linda, Greg, and Cathy. She also shared her knowledge, experience and wisdom with state employees from new-hires to governors and first ladies. She was and continues to be an invaluable inspiration to her six grandchildren, Vince, Matt, Dominic, Pat, Buddy and Jessica and she is a source of wisdom and hope to the teams of medical professionals that have had contact with her throughout her 20-year battle with cancer. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A."Butch" and Ruth Leuschner Boyd; her brothers, Dave and Cliff; and sister-in-law, Berlinda. She is survived by her husband, Sam of Santa Fe; and the families of Linda and Ernie Garcia of Albuquerque, Greg and Maggie Salvo of Tomball, TX, Cathy and Randy Wren of Okla.
