Leonard H.Ortiz, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1966, passed away on October 4, 2002.He is survived by his wife, Lily, of 51 years; daughters, Catherine Hall and husband Allen, Patricia Tanner and husband Scott and Danielle Ortiz; sons, Daniel Ortiz, Steven Ortiz and wife Susan; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Leonard served twenty years in the U.S. Army. He worked at the University of New Mexico in the Chemistry Dept. until his retirement in 1987. Leonard was a life- member of Knights of Columbus, JFK Council 5729 and Father Mandalari Assembly. He was a long time member at St. Bernadette Catholic Church where he served as an usher. Rosary will be recited Monday, October 7, 2002, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 8, 2002, 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Father Tom Zotter, Celebrant. Pallbearers will be Allen Hall, Gabe Romero, Robert Romero, Dennis Barela, Scott Tanner, and Larry McGlynn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Juan Perea and William Maguire. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Monday, October 7, 2002 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Should friends' desire, memorial contributions may be made to Knights of Columbus, JFK Council, P.O.
