Marion Waites, age 81, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother was called home to be with the Lord our Savior, Monday, October 7, 2002. Marion was a resident of Bernalillo, NM; a proud Veteran of the United State Army you served our country during World War II. Marion is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Florence Waites of the family home; his loving children, Louise Pietrzak and husband, Clarence, Donald Waites both of Bernalillo, NM, Dorothy Snelson and husband, William of Philadelphia, PA, Beverly Waites also of Bernalillo, and Carol Palacios of Albuquerque; 16 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Irene Waites; a brother, Gene Waites both of Lordsburg, NM. Marion will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those who knew and loved him. Visitations will be Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary; followed by Funeral Services at 9:00 a.m. with Jude Tercero officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Michael Grogitsky, Donald Grogitsky, Ronald Grogitsky, Joseph Keller, David Bosschaart, Donald Snelson, John Snelson, and Michael Snelson.
