Obituary for Jackson

Karleta"Sue" Jackson, 64, a resident of Elephant Butte, NM, passed away after a brief illness on October 8, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lt. Col. William A. Jackson U.S.A.F (Ret) of Elephant Butte; two daughters, Holly Mitchell and husband, Ron of Placitas, NM and Kelly Burnett and husband, Dean of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Meagan Olson, Austin Burnett, Dean Burnett Jr., Aaron Burnett and Kristin Burnett; great granddaughter, Lydia Rene Burnett. She loved to cook and sew, was a talented artist and enjoyed traveling with Bill in their motor home. She was a pilot, an AHSA Steward and a skilled equestrian, hunting with the Juan Tomas Hounds Hunt Club for many years. Most recently she had become an impressive golfer, competing in numerous tournaments. By far, her greatest joy was her family, grandchildren and the many wonderful friends she made through the years. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (3 blocks N. of Paseo Del Norte.)
