Obituary for Peterson

Bertha Peterson, age 89, and a resident of Albuquerque, died October 10, 2002. Bert was born September 9, 1913 to Merrill and Bessie (Kluge) Fleeson. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lester Warren Peterson. Bert raised her daughters, Merry Christina Stubblefield of Albuquerque and Patricia Weir of Philadelphia PA. She is also survived by her sister, Bessie Hunter of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Patty Lynn Labade, Glenn Labade, Richard Labade and Arthur Weir; and numerous great-grandchildren. Gifted with a quick inquisitive mind, Bert was an artist, astronomer and musician. She spent the last decades of her life in Florida and loved the ocean. She moved to New Mexico in 2001. Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 13, 2002 in Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. SE with Pastor Larry Cotter officiating. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
