Eloisa Martha Tafoya, 75, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born November 29, 1926 to Melquiades and Guadalupe (Gallegos) Romero in Vernon, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Diego Tafoya in 1989. She is survived by her sons, Patrick J. Tafoya of Socorro, NM and John J. Tafoya of Albuquerque; daughters, Guadalupe M. Tafoya-Vigil and husband, Joseph F. of Las Vegas, NM and Sandra I. Tafoya-Teets and husband, Thomas M. of Nashua, NH; brother, Melquiades D. Romero of Sterling, MA; sister, Mary Elizabeth Lopez of Albuquerque; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Rosary was recited on Thursday, October 17, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 18, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at San Miguel with Father John Daniel as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Pallbearers are James R. Vigil, Michael Lopez, Vidal Martinez, Tommy Trujillo, Mark Lopez and Jacob Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph F. Vigil, Tom Teets, Adam Teets, Malcolm Tafoya and Elias Chavez. Arrangements by Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, 309 Garfield, Socorro, NM.
