Obituary for Kennedy

Robert D. Kennedy, age 58, after his courageous battle with a long illness died peacefully on October 22, 2002 with his devoted wife, Jody at his side. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Perry; mother, Lois; and sister, Joyce. He is survived by his loving wife, Jody. Bob was born February 23, 1944 in Panama City, FL and raised in Georgia. In 1965, Bob enlisted in the Army and proudly served his country in the 17 Cavalry as a Specialist 4 in Vietnam where he earned several medals. He attended college in California and majored in Engineering. Bob worked over 30 years in HVAC/sheet metal in FL, CA, WI, NJ, and NM as well as internationally in Saudi Arabia, Iran and Israel. While in New Mexico Bob met and married the light of his life, his wife, Jody. Together they enjoyed lengthy Real Estate careers. Bob enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests including photography, motorcycles, traveling, and his classic Corvette. He held a deep fondness and appreciation for all animals and held a special place in his heart for each of his many pets. He will be deeply missed and remembered as a person who was generous, caring, loving and giving of himself. Funeral Services are pending. Cremation arrangements by the Sunrise Society of NM, 891-8200.
