Obituary for Jennings

Walter C. Jennings, passed away October 19, 2002, at the age of 88. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Thelma, of the family home; his daughters, Peggy Hurt and her husband, Tom, of Fredericksburg, TX, Cheri Hobbs and her husband, Al, of El Paso, TX, Sandra Ginannini and her husband, Tom, of Albuquerque; sons, Kim Jennings and his wife, Susan, of Rio Rancho, and Tad Jennings of Albuquerque; fourteen grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. Walter served as a Merchant Marine on the Great Lakes from 1937 to 1945. He moved his family from New York state to Albuquerque in 1952. He was employed by Jones Graphic for 11 years and by Whitfield Trucking Co. until his retirement in 1976. Walter loved RV-ing and for several years he and Thelma wintered in Arizona. He was a life member of Good Sam Club. He also enjoyed playing pool, bowling, and golf and was always ready to try something new and challenging. Cremation has taken place and private ceremony will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donation be made to Delta Hospice, Inc., 3500 Comanche Blvd NE, Bldg.
