Robert Carlton Darden passed away peacefully on October 26, 2002 at home with his family by his side. Bob was born April 4, 1943 in Shattuck, OK to John Lloyd and Edna Joy Darden. He married Elizabeth Ann Romney in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. Bob lived most of his life in Albuquerque, NM. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked 35 years for the Federal Aviation Administration and three years for Avis Car Rental. Bob loved to work and keep busy. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be truly missed. Bob is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sons and daughters, Stacy Horne, Robert Darden II, John Darden, Elizabeth Young and Lynette Ballard; and grandchildren, Kyle Horne, Kaela Horne, Matthew Horne, Ryley Ballard, and Paige Young. A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 31st, 2002, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 1, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., at Eubank Chapel, 4109 Eubank N.E., where friends and family may call one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
