Christina G. Teixeira, age 92, an Albuquerque resident died October 28, 2002. Christina was born in Portugal on Madeira Island in 1910; she came to the United States in 1966 and was a previous resident of New Hampshire moving to New Mexico in 1978. Survivors include her daughters, Bernadette Hill of Albuquerque, Madalena Teixeira of Rhode Island, Connie Martinez of Albuquerque; sons Manuel Teixeira of New Hampshire, Jose Teixeira of New Hampshire, Luis Teixeira of Albuquerque, Carlos Teixeira of Albuquerque and Jorge Teixeira of New Hampshire; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Teixeira in 1980; also by three children; and a grandchild. Christina was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, a member of the Holy Name Society, the People Eucharistic League and Community of Prayer. Viewing and visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2002 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2002 at St. Charles Catholic Church 1818 Coal Pl SE. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2002 also at St. Charles Catholic Church with Fr. Bob Chabot, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is handling her arrangements.
