Mr. Ismael B. Martinez died Thursday, October 31, 2002 in Albuquerque at the age of 89. Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his daughters, Esther and Lydia. He is survived by his children, Eva Nelson of Anaheim, CA, Jerry Martinez and wife, Christine Kramer of Sacramento, CA, Ismael Martinez Jr. of Chino Hills, CA, Cecilia Cruz of Hawthorne, CA, Bruce Martinez and wife, Veronica of Oceanside, CA, Bernadette Martinez, Leonard Martinez, Sylvia Zimmerer and husband, Dan and Gloria Gallegos and husband, Ramon, all of Albuquerque; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mr. Martinez will be held on Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Freddy Mora, Dan Zimmerer, Ramon Gallegos, Pablo Herrera, Jimmy Garay and Jeff Bourquet. Honorary pallbearers will be Esther Berg, Peggy Bowling, Renee McCarter, Carrie Shackelford, Ginger Castillo, Larry Martinez, Amy Romero and Chelsey Chrisman. Visitation for Mr. Martinez will be held on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Salazar & Sons Mortuary Chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Church.
