Obituary for Cole

Prentiss C. Cole passed away Thursday, October 31, 2002 while visiting the home of his daughter, Rowena Suzanne Hoffman at Canyon Lake, Texas. Prentiss was born on November 7, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Prentiss and Margaret Cole of Huntersville, Tennessee Battalion. On September 7, 1940, he received his law license from the Supreme Court of Tennessee. Prentiss moved to Albuquerque in 1945 as an attorney for the Veterans Administration of New Mexico and worked in Albuquerque and Washington, D.C. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, Tennessee Lambda Chapter and in 1972 he received the Cornel-Aide-de-Camp from the staff of the Governor of New Mexico. Prentiss was a resident of Albuquerque for 57 years, was a sportsman and avid reader. His wife, Millie Stuver Cole passed away on September 10, 1995. His son, Michael Cole and his daughter, Rowena Suzanne Hofffman and her husband, Garret Hoffman survive him. His family and friends will miss this kind, generous and gentle spoken man from Tennessee.
