Obituary for Willis

Dorothy Elizabeth Willis, 93, died on November 4, 2002. She was born in Blandinsville, Illinois, the only child of Bunker and Bessie Hocker Ryan. Previously a resident of Albuquerque in the mid-1950's, she moved to the Bay Area of California before returning to Albuquerque in 1999. She was a avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and was a life master duplicate bridge player. Survivors include her son, Mark Willis and wife, Jenny of Albuquerque; her daughter, Beatrice Claire Shannon of Jackson, CA; nine grandchildren, Leath MacDonald, Deidre MacDonald, Donald MacDonald, David MacDonald, Maura Currey, Sean Currey, Mark Ian Willis, Seth Willis and Garner Willis; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Frank Willis in 1942; a grandchild, Kaylin Currey in 1957 and a daughter, Sara Lynne Salka in 2002. Cremation has taken place with inurnment scheduled for a later date in Illinois. Arrangements are by Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, (505)821-0010.
