Obituary for Russell

Michael Kevin Russell, age 33, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died November 11, 2002 as a result of a heart attack. Survivors include his mother, Joan J. Russell; sister, Margaret M. Russell; brother, James V. Russell V all of Albuquerque; nieces, Samantha and Shaylene; nephews, John J. and Michael L.; and numerous aunts and uncles. Michael was a 1987 graduate of St. Pius X High School, and served in the U.S.A.F. He and his brother James were father figures to their nieces and nephews. Michael loved all sports and was an avid Buffalo Bills and OU Sooners Fan. He coached little league baseball for several years. Michael was liked and loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. Viewing and visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2002 with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2002 in Our Lady of The Assumption Catholic Church (Lomas & Tennessee). Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is handling his arrangements.
