Obituary for Sponenburgh

Mae A. Sponenburgh, 85, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2002. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Jeter Scott of Cedar Park, TX, Linda Guenley and husband, William of Adelino, NM and JoAnn Burns and Steve Kitchens of Bosque Farms, NM; and one son, William J. Sponenburgh and wife, Lynda of Blackfoot, ID; seven grandchildren, Jeff and John Jeter, Nate, Casey, Brad and Camille Sponenburgh, Justin Burns and Will Guenley; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Hazel Berg of Wallhalla, ND and Bernice Herberg of Minot, ND. Mrs. Sponenburgh was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. John Sponenburgh. She was an avid gardener, an expert with needlework and a past president of Cosmopolitan Women's Club. Services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
