Obituary for Gomez

It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of Mauricio Adrian Gomez, age 38, who died Wednesday November 13, 2002. He was born in Santiago, Chile on December 12, 1963 the seventh of eight children. Mauricio was a man of many talents, whether it is painting, tile setting or cooking. The most important focus in Mauricios life was his family. He worked tirelessly to provide a better life of opportunity for them. Mauricio is survived by his wife Maria Teresa Escobar, children; Silvana Lagos, Leslie and Dylan Gomez of the family home. Daughters; Elsa and husband Samuel Pino and children Neil and Jeremy, Michelle Jofre and children Ryan and Carrie. His niece Maria Luisa Pavez and family also survive him. He leaves behind his family in Chile, father Juan de la Cruz Gomez, sister Mirtha and brothers Ricardo, Sergio, Juan and Xinancna. His mother Maria Vega, sister Maria Gomez and brother Jorge Luis Gomez, preceded him in death. Friends may visit Monday November 18 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Aspen Funeral Alternatives, 1935 Juan Tabo NE. A prayer service will be held at 2:00 PM also at Aspen. Cremation will follow. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday November 20, 10:30 AM at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria Road NE.
