Zola Cox (1911-2003). Zola Cox died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, November 8, 2002 in Albuquerque. She was a longtime resident of Anchorage, AK, Las Cruces, NM, and Albuquerque. Zola cared deeply about those less fortunate than her. Being a pediatric nurse of many years, she had a particular fondness for babies and was constantly crocheting and knitting blankets, booties, and other small items for the needy. Her greatest desire was not to be a burden to others. She will be missed by many. She leaves behind three sons and many happy memories. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, November 24, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Direct Funeral Services Chapel. No flowers or donations requested. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW.
