John J. O'Herron, age 75, an Albuquerque resident, died Saturday, November 16, 2002. John was born January 11, 1927 in Leavenworth, KS to the late Francis and Margaret (Reindl) O'Herron. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Margaret"Peggy"; daughters, Kathleen C. Blythe and husband, Joseph and their daughters Jennifer and Jessica, Barbara Ann Hamlet and husband, Roger and their sons, Ben and Jason, Mary Ann Madrid and husband, Richard A. and their sons, Joshua and Nathan all of Albuquerque; brother, William R."Bud" O'Herron of CA. John served in the Korean Conflict and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, retiring from the Air Force as a Msgt. in 1967. He also retired from the Veteran's Administration, was an avid Notre Dame Football Fan and member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2002 in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, November 21, 2002 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church 1800 Martha NE. Services are under the direction of Strong-Thorne Mortuary.
