Obituary for Walton

Native New Mexican Gene C. Walton, 53, son of Jack and Jane Walton, died November 23, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Nancy Walton; daughter, Amy and her husband, Ted; daughters, Kelly and Elizabeth; son, Benjamin; mother, Jane Walton; sister, Donna and her husband, George; nephew, Michael and his wife, Jalayne; niece, Annie; and, aunt, Betty Walton. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of California and Law degree at Georgetown University, Gene returned to Albuquerque. He began his noted and dedicated career at the law offices of Rodey, Dickason, Sloan, Akin, and Robb. Gene became Head of Presbyterian Health Care Foundation in 1991, and took over as Senior Vice President and General Council in 1992, the position in which he finished his career. Gene cherished his many friends and colleagues, those enriching relationships and shared experiences which make life vital. Gene and his family wish to thank them all as well as Diane Fisher, Ellin and Jon Hewes, Priss and Bruce Hall, Jim Hinton, and Jackson Ellison. A paragraph cannot capture a life.
