Obituary for Duffee

William M. (Bill) Duffee passed away November 25, 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife, Neva; and infant son, Earl. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Pearl; beloved father of three children, William (Cheri) Duffee, Catherine (Bob) Millar, and Barry (Linda) Duffee; three step-children, Barry (Janet) Silbaugh, Steve (Becky) Silbaugh, and Barbara Pinzak; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, James (Betty) Duffee. Bill was born October 16, 1923 in Toledo, Ohio and served courageously in the South Pacific during WWII on the USS Nicholas DD449. He moved his family to Albuquerque in 1957, and in 1958 founded ALTEC, where he was acting president until his retirement in 1989. He and his wife, Pearl have lived in Sun City, AZ for the past 11 years where he was active in many private organizations. They were blessed with many years of happiness, which included numerous trips to Germany and other countries. They came to know and love many people there. He was a wonderful husband and father, and a generous, fun loving man that will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial Services will be held in Albuquerque on December 5, 2002 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice.
