Abel T. Valverde, Jr., 36, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away November 30, 2002. He is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline Valverde; parents, Abel, Sr. and Connie Valverde of Moriarty; brother, R. Michael Valverde and wife, Catherine of Moriarty; grandmothers, Anita Gonzales of Artesia and Marina Valverde of Tucumcari; friend, Shana Giesler of Albuquerque; girlfriend, Luwanna McCant; and numerous cousins. Abel was a member of Local Electrical Union 611, an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and a very loving son, father and brother. A rosary will be Thursday, December 5, 2002, 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Moriarty. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 6, 2002, 11:00 a.m., also at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel with Rev. Anthony L. Martinez, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty.
