Thomas Richard Lovette, 92, a resident of Albuquerque for the past two years, died Friday, December 6, 2002.¯He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sylvia Carroll Thomas Lovette of Rio Rancho; son, Anthony Thomas Lovette of Albuquerque; daughter, Lynn L. Gustafson and husband, Tony of Algodones, NM; son, Christopher Wesley Lovette and wife, Ruth of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, John Lovette and wife, Katie of San Diego, CA, Kevin Lovette of Palo Alto, CA, Todd Lovette, Brett Lovette and wife, Adria, all of Albuquerque, Melissa Brown and husband, Patrick of Phoenix, AZ, Kirsten Lovette and Astrid Lovette, both of Tucson, AZ; great-grandchildren, John Lovette Jr., Stephen Lovette, William, Lovette, all of San Diego, CA and Tyler Lovette of Albuquerque; and sister, Dora Pierce of Massillon, OH.¯Thomas was a graduate of Berea College in Richmond, KY, where he and Sylvia met and were married.¯They were both charter members of Westwood Hills Christian Church in Westwood, CA, where he was a deacon and an elder.¯He was a current member of Paradise Hills United Methodist Church.¯Thomas retired from Los Angeles City Schools, where he taught math, physics and industrial arts.¯Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held.¯Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, c/o Bob Alvis, 3020 Camino Real Ct.
