Jack J. Elliot, 74, of Decatur, AL passed away on December 8, 2002 at Decatur General Hospital. Jack was born on August 27, 1928 to Vernon L. Elliot and Viola Irence Sailors-Elliot in Nebraska. He retired from the U.S. Army with 21 years of service. Jack was a life member of the VFW and DAV; he retired from the Housing Authority in Decatur after 15 years. Mr. Elliot is survived by his wife, Daisy"Ann" Elliot of Decatur, AL; two sons, Lester Ray Elliot of Overton, NV, Vernon J. Elliot of Dalton, GA; and one brother, James L. Elliot of Benkelman, N.E.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at Ridout's Brown-Service Chapel in Decatur, AL with Rev. Don Wright. Burial will be in Burningtree Cemetery in Alabama.
