Obituary for Shearn

Helen Ann Henaman Shearn, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 9, 2002. Helen was born on October 10, 1927 in Armstrong, Iowa to Curtis and Jessie Lee Martin Henaman. She grew up in Albuquerque and was a graduate of Albuquerque High School and attended UNM. Helen loved arts and crafts and was very fond of her woodworking. Prior to retirement, she spent her career working as an assistant to the General Manager for KRZY radio, starting in the 1960's. She took a short hiatus, and then returned to the station for over 25 more dedicated years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Helen was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Lee Henaman. She is survived by her daughters, Linda and husband, Eddie Baragiola of Placitas, Shannon and Tom Szuszalski of Albuquerque; sister, Mary Lee Priestly of Albuquerque; her niece, Barbara Wolfe of Belen; and her precious canine companion, Hop Sing and a host of very special friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options, 2400 Southern Blvd., in Rio Rancho, with Pastor Rick Donaho as officiant.
