David Lee Newkirk, 54, of Corinth, Texas formerly of Edgewood, NM, died Friday, December 6, 2002, at Denton Regional Medical Center Intensive Care Unit. He was born December 0, 1947 in Bridgetown, NJ to Paul and Marion (Kennedy) Newkirk. On Dec 27, 1975 he married Georgia Elliott in Albuquerque, NM. He served in the US Air Force, retired from Federal Civil Service, where he had been employed with the Department of the Navy, and was employed by Tri-Steel Structures in Corinth as construction service manager. David is survived by his wife of Corinth, TX; two daughters, Tonya Galbreth of Albuquerque, NM, and Christy Tersiev of Denton, TX; one son, Steven Newkirk of Denton, TX; and two granddaughters. A Memorial Service was held December 10, 2002 in Denton, TX with Reverend John Robert Brown officiating.
