Obituary for Williams

Homer John Williams, age 84, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother was called home to be with the Lord our Savior, Sunday December 22, 2002, while surrounded by his loving family. Homer was born in Enemy Swim, S.D., and was a resident of Rio Rancho. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army; he enjoyed reading, music, and enjoyed watching sports of all kind. Homer is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Virginia M. Williams of the family home; his wonderful children, Susan Williams of Corrales, John Williams and wife, Marilyn Yellowman, and Margaret Williams of Albuquerque; his precious grandchildren, Rachelle, Megan, Benjamin, and Lily Williams. Also surviving is a sister, Lucille Blythe of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Edward Willams of Sisseton, SD. Homer will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those who knew and loved him. Visitations will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino de Pueblo in Bernalillo; where a Rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m. followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Casket bearers will be Susan Williams, John Williams, Benjamin Williams, Megan Williams, John Boyd, George Llewellyn. Honorary bearers will be Brandon Barela, Edward Williams, and Frank Blythe.
