Obituary for Coppock

Mary T. Coppock, 80, an Albuquerque resident since 1962, died Tuesday, December 25, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Don L. Coppock, Sr., of Albuquerque; sons, Don L. Coppock, Jr. and wife, Bonnie of Albuquerque and Vern C. Coppock of Bosque Farms; daughters, Janet M. Chavez and husband, Henry of Bosque Farms, Beatrice T. Miles of Albuquerque, Esther Evans and husband, Donald of Albuquerque, LaVerna C. McCloskey and husband, David of Bosque Farms and Ruth Soflin and husband, Craig of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Vern W. Redinbaugh and Ivan W. Redinbaugh, both of Neola, IA; sister, Alice Broten of Houston, TX. Mrs. Coppock was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a retired physical education teacher and had taught at Garfield, Jefferson and Hoover Middle Schools in Albuquerque and formerly taught in Las Vegas, NM. Mary was a member of Alpha Delta Kapa, NEA, and a former member of the Albuquerque Classroom Teachers Association. She was past president of the Zia Romers and past state director of the Good Sam Club of NM. Mary worked as a volunteer for numerous charitable organizations. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, December 28, 2001, at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd NE, with Rev.
