Obituary for Cleaveland

Alice Ann Cleaveland, Ally as she is fondly called by her friends and family, died Tuesday, September 11, 2001 at Albuquerque Care Center where she had been for the last two years. She was the widow of Wallace R. Cleaveland who preceded her in death two years and three days ago. Mrs. Cleaveland was a wonderful wife, mother, teacher and friend. She taught in the Albuquerque Public School system and wrote two text books with workbooks. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Cleaveland-Tracy and her partner, Suzanne Blanchet; son, Wallace R. Cleaveland, Jr. and his wife, Patricia Cleaveland; and three beautiful grandchildren, Stephanie Cleaveland-Elsaesser and her husband, Croft and their six week old son, Armin Caven Elsaesser, Allison Tracy, and Stacey Cleaveland-Snowden and her husband, Steven. Cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be held at the family home Saturday, 3:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Gilpin County Library, c/o Pat Cleaveland, 30 Mimosa Rd., Santa Fe, 87508.
