Obituary for Carpenter

Richard N. Carpenter, 76, an Albuquerque resident since 1948, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001. He is survived by his daughters, Kitty Montano and husband, Jim of Cedar Crest, NM and Trish Kukowski and husband, Shawn of Rio Rancho, NM; son, Rick Carpenter and companion, Debbie David of Carnuel, NM; grandchildren, Jennifer Gonzales and husband, Scott of Albuquerque and Traci Squyers of Austin, TX; great-granddaughter, Hailey Gonzales of Albuquerque; sister, Gladys Lovejoy of Wautoma, WI; brothers, Jarrett Carpenter of Scottsdale, AZ and Darwin Carpenter of Madison, WI; several nieces and nephews; former wife, Doni Carpenter; very special friends, Carol Wingert and Jay Mitchell, all of Albuquerque. Mr. Carpenter was a US Navy veteran of WWII where he served on an LST. He was retired from Sandia National Labs. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2001 at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd, NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Should friends desire; contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Mr. Carpenter's memory. Friends may visit on Sunday, March 18, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd, NE
