CWO4 (Ret.) William L. (Bil) Carter, Sr., 78, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, February 16, 2001. He is survived by his son, Bill Carter and Linda Diesel of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Judy Russell and her husband, C.D. of Perryton, TX and Wanda Bryant and her husband, Michael of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren, Teresa McIver, Bub McIver, Julie Bryant and Christopher Bryant; three great-grandchildren, Emily McIver, Colton Juarez and Brice Juarez. Bil was retired from the Air Force having served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW, Elks Lodge 1440, and American Legion Post 49. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2001, at Fairview Cemetery, 700 Yale SE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Friends may visit Monday, February 19, 2001, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
