Obituary for Bogarosh

Novella Brown McGlothlin Bogarosh, 86, died June 17, 2001, at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She died from a stroke. Mrs. Bogarosh, a native of Allisonia, spent her childhood on a farm in the New River Valley near Wytheville, Virginia. She graduated from Radford University with a teaching degree and worked in the late '30's and '40's as a teacher, principal, and administrator. In 1947, she married and later moved to Richmond, Virginia, where her husband taught at the Medical College of Virginia. Pursuant to her husband's work as a commissioned officer and pharmacologist with the US Dept. of Health, Education and Welfare, Indian Health, Mrs. Bogarosh established homes in Albuquerque, as well as Aberdeen, South Dakota; Norman, Oklahoma; and the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C. Her hobbies included creative writing and financial planning and investment. She won several awards as a poet. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Navy Captain Peter Leonard Bogarosh, Ph.D of Albuquerque; a son, Christopher Leonard Bogarosh, M.D., of Spokane, Washington; a daughter, Barbara A. BogaRosh, J.D., of Alexandria, Virginia; and four grandchildren.
