Frank T. Romero, 87, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Ann Romero of Albuquerque; daughters, Joanne Offerdahl and husband, Roger of Albuquerque, Shirley Wood and husband, Michael of Homestead, FL and Charlene Trexler and husband, Darren of Peralta, NM; grandchildren, James Chavez and wife, Nicole, Jessica Hernandez and husband, Javier and Jason Dudoich, all of Albuquerque, Elizabeth Healy and husband, Ray, Mitchell Wood and Angelique Wood, all of Homestead, FL; great-grandchildren, Tyler Chavez, Kyle Chavez and Alexis Hernandez. Frank married his wife Ann on October 26, 1950. He served in Africa during WWII with the U.S. Calvary, Company B, 766th M.P. Battalion. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Monday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Deacon Tom Perez reciting. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 9:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 412 Stover SW, with Deacon Tom Perez officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Monday, 12:00 noon to Rosary.
